From the influences of Earl Scruggs to Thelonius Monk, Bach to Zappa - The Gordon Stone Trio plays original, instrumental, and progressive acoustic music focusing on composition, interaction, and improvisation. Combining bluegrass and jazz, blended with latin and funk to create laid back grooves and high energy musical excursions. The trio will expand to a quartet, adding drums (guests include Jon Fishman from Phish and Gabe Jarrett from Jazz Mandolin Project) for a dance-all-night-and-party-down scene.Gordon's banjo and pedal steel work has been featured on two Phish albums, Strangefolk’s latest "Weightless in Water" and the yeP! release "yeP!onymous."
