Brothers Past - Philadelphia, PA
Philadelphia's Brothers Past is rapidly emerging as one of the most talked about independent acts in the nation. The foursome continues to not only capture the imagination of concertgoers, but distinguish themselves with masterful studio work. This Feeling's Called Goodbye, released at a sold-out Bowery Ballroom in late February 05, has the band partnering with a top Producer and the results are generating accolades. Glide Magazine wrote, "Brothers Past focuses on the art of songwriting and does it in a unique way that sets them apart from the pack. When you combine strong, well-written, catchy songs like "State Police" and "Simple Gift of Man" with electronica laden powerhouses like "Celebrity" and "Words Like Weapons",you get a detailed glimpse into the future of music."
With progressive musical visions, Brothers Past pushes the boundaries of rock. Experimenting with mood, tone and effects, the members create evolutionary soundscapes, splashed with elements of modern rock, electronica and dance music. The NY Press hailed the band as "the square-jawed, bastard child of Pink Floyd with a gigantic stage show." Brothers Past's emphasis on song craft, creative arrangements and inspired lyrics is propelling the band towards an exciting future.
