Near-perfect weather, a secluded, pristine venue and a lineup you would never expect to see at a festival this size combined to make CB3 a rowdy good time.

I caught up with U-Melt before their July show at Revolution Hall in Troy, NY. The guys were both funny and intriguing. We talked about everything from Phish to the passing of Michael Jackson to the bands latest album.

U-melt kicks off their East Coast tour and give a sneak preview of what's coming in Spring of 2009.

Wow – here it is a few short weeks until Nelson Ledges Quarry Park 4th of July Weekend featuring the rebirth of RHYTHM FEST! You might ask, “What about Grateful Fest?” Don’t worry, this year these are two separate events. Grateful Fest is going to be on Labor Day weekend this year, with all the usual fixins’!

U-Melt is the latest band to reveal their theme for their upcoming Halloween show, which will take place at Revolution Hall in Troy, NY on Halloween night, October 31st. U-Melt has dubbed their Halloween performance, "Gangster 'n' Gag-Balls," and has assured us that name is just a hint at what's in store for the evening, with promises of multimedia excitement and big surprises. U-Melt will also be debuting their very first horn section for their Halloween performance, naming them The Bad Mother Fucker Horns, who will include members of Deep Banana Blackout and Lynch.

What do you get when you cross a stellar line-up, sneaky security and police presence, and ominous weather? The answer is the third annual Mountain Jam. Oh, and I forgot to mention red clay mud. Most of us arrived dry and intact and looking forward to a weekend of great music. I set up shop in the middle of a tent city with good friends on all sides and proceeded with the weekend.
