Covert jams! Influences of this band are all over the map and it comes out in Covert's writing and style. Covert plays Twang Rock mixed with Funk, Reggae and Bluegrass and a raging dance party is the result. The band crafts segues of original and cover tunes that keep those in attendance on their toes. Covert's large and loyal fan base continue to help spread the music, and plays a vital role ...to the bands live performance. A Covert show is a place for people to come together in song and dance in what may best be described as a celebration of life. No show is ever the same.
Covert is definitely an electric, rock band first and foremost. The band uses top of the line gear and maintains it for your listening pleasure! Covert can and loves to play acoustic too. Many songs start off in this form and evolve into the electric counterpart. Covert can play a funky, hard rocking show or an intimate and soft acoustic performance. Sometimes they do both in a single night. Variety is the spice of life...
MC Sparkplug is Tony Z and Lanie. They are a blend of hip hop and comedy over electronic beats. Sparkplug’s songs are about their relationship, their love for music, and whatever fictional stories they come up with. It's been called hippy-hip-hop, conscious hip-hop, and unclassifiable by people who have never heard anything quite like it. MC Sparkplug has played with bands of every genre from blue...grass and electronic to rock and rap. Their beats are made by Tony Z and the lyrics are written by the couple together. They’ve shared the stage with acts such as: EOTO, BoomBox, Big Gigantic, Future Rock, Cornmeal, The Ragbirds, Ekoostik Hookah, Roots of Creation, Spiritual Rez, Covert Operations, 2 Live Crew, Unknown Hinson and many more.
Every weekend the Trap is host to the best Jam Bands in the Midwest and beyond. The word is out! Come see for yourself! Check out the Calender...
