For nine years their sound has evolved. Following an exchange of musicians and a wave of new musical influences, The Diggity now highlights the talent of seven individuals from Northwest Indiana that work to create an original sound built on the foundation of diverse musical interests. The group has achieved a new sound over the past two years with additional keyboards, backing vocals, drum sample...s, and songwriting styles. Funky electronic rock music would sum up the sound of The Diggity in the fewest of words. Many genres, including hip hop, blues, and electronica have influenced the music that is not only performed live by the group but recorded locally in northwest Indiana. Following the June 2010 release of “Another Wondrous Conversation,” the band will release their third album in the winter of 2012. A powerful live performance has found The Diggity touring around the midwest, playing frequently at music festivals, clubs, and bars in both Indiana and neighboring states. Check 'em out.

The New Old Cavalry offers today's concert-goer an opportunity to take two steps back into the past and one large step into the future. We seek to turn every stage we play on into an event where sounds of varying backgrounds can intermingle and transform into a heart-felt, and unapologetically dynamic mash-up of hard-driving bluegrass, gospel-inspired harmonies, and psychedelic looseness. Its New,... Its Old, its the Cavalry and we intend to take your foot-stompin' and whiskey swiggin' past the astral zone!
In a few short months, The New Old Cavalry has grown from a close-knit group of porch-jam regulars to rubbing elbows with bluegrass heavy-weights like Hot Buttered Rum, Cornmeal, Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters, Devil's Train, Bonepony, and more. We've recorded an EP and keep churning out original numbers, an anticipate our first full length album by the end of 1/2010.
Our music extends no further then all of the support we've received from our friends and rapidly growing family. We would not be here if it were not for all of you who open your homes to bluegrass jams at all hours of the night, amateur photographers, word-of-mouth promoters, street team, and all those who spread the word to friends.
If you've sat on a porch with us, you are part of the Cavalry too! If you've got an instrument, please play along. If you've got a song you want to sing, call the tune! If you want a party, we'd love to play at it.
Every weekend the Trap is host to the best Jam Bands in the Midwest and beyond. The word is out! Come see for yourself! Check out the Calender...
