"Fiction 20 Down is a delightful, upbeat, soothing rock fusion mix, with elements of hip-hop, reggae, and pure rock!" -IndieMusicReview.net

Led by Jordan Lally's inspired lyrics and impassioned vocals & rhythm guitar, Justin Berdeguez's incomparable lead guitar , DJ Fritzges's reggae-induced bass, and Andre Toney's soulful, rock-steady drum work, Fiction 20 Down have come together to forge a truly original rock music brew that's rocking live audiences."If you want to see a great live band, Fiction 20 Down is where it's at!" (BranchOutMusic.com). The band has conquered nationally renowned stages up and down the East Coast and as far west as Ohio, opening for MTV acts like EVE 6 & Jimmie's Chicken Shack and national touring bands like Badfish & Groundation along the way. Fiction 20 Down has played college campuses from the University of Maryland to Framingham State in Massachusetts, as well as independent music showcases like the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA (for which the band's song "Wind Me Down" was selected to appear on the MMC Compilation CD).

Beyond the stage, F20D (as fans affectionately call the band) has conquered the radio & television as well. In addition to live on-air performances and interviews on college, commercial and internet radio outlets, F20D is in rotation at upwards of 40 college radio stations from Buffalo's WBNY down to Savannah, GA's WRFS and is featured on internet radio giant Pandora. The band is in rotation on large regional commercial radio like Baltimore's famed WTMD 89.7FM & 98 ROCK FM and in addition, Fiction 20 Down's hit "Wake Up" was featured on XM Satellite Radio's "The Radar Report" for up and coming international artists! F20D has also made appearances on a variety of regional television shows from New York's "Poughkeepsie Live" to Delaware and New Jersey's "The Tim Qualls Show"!

To call Fiction 20 Down prolific songwriters would be an understatement to say the least. With the addition of the "Comfortable Fools" LP in 2009, Fiction 20 Down has now released three full-length albums in only two short years - all recorded & produced by F20D front man Jordan Lally out of his Reveler Recording Studio. SublimeStylee.com praised the 2007 F20D debut "Down n' Out + Up n' Rising" as "one of those precious albums where all twelve tracks must be listened to before putting the CD away." Their follow-up album - 2008's "Welcome to the Grassroots" - was touted by Denmark's Glimmer of Whimsy music blog as "a pleasure to listen to" and "addictive," Suzie Mudd of Music Monthly added "I love it!" and Sam Sessa of the Baltimore Sun wrote simply, "[Fiction 20 Down] is good enough to be true." And how about the latest "Comfortable Fools" LP? HomeGrownMusic.net says, "Fiction 20 Down creates well crafted songs with an infectious spirit and an impressive lyrical, effervescent quality" and SkopeMag.com adds "Fiction 20 Down merge rock and reggae like I have never heard before... they are the real deal and Comfortable Fools is one freshly cool LP."

In only two short years, Fiction 20 Down have amassed a rock resume most bands only aspire to: live shows up and down the East Coast with stops in some of the nation's premier live music venues and festivals; commercial, college & internet radio rotation; live radio interviews & performances; three full-length albums all garnering critical praise; and lastly, but most importantly, a loyal and ever-growing grassroots fan following. With all this behind them, Fiction 20 Down is only getting started. Be sure to check out F20D live on tour in a town near you and stay tuned for a brand new album due in 2010!  Find out for yourself why Fiction 20 Down is truly "an undeniable talent" (TheUmbilicalChord.com).

Amy Hendrickson & the Prime Directive is a folk, rock, funk, alternative, jazz, blues, psychedelic experimental, four piece band which hails from the rich and diverse music scene of the oldest city in the United States-Saint Augustine, Florida. The band formed in the winter of 2008 when bassist, Stephen Pigman and drummer, Steve Hawkes teamed up with singer-songwriter, Amy Hendrickson to fill a gig at a local health foods restaurant.

Immediately the three knew they had something special. With the addition of saxophone player Corey Peterson, the band developed a very unique sound which is very hard to categorize. The band started playing cover tunes with a small amount of originals, but since conception, the tide has turned and the band now plays mostly original music. They have accomplished a lot since January of 2009.

They have recorded an EP, received tons of local, national, and international radio airplay, been accepted to Home Grown Music Network, played numerous shows from bars, private functions, music venues, and festivals, they have been on tour in Tampa, FL, New Orleans, LA, and Austin, TX. Most notably, they gave an amazing, unforgettable performance and received a standing ovation at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, FL while opening for the Wallflowers.

This band continues to write more great songs and are always trying to explore new avenues. Their light-hearted, comical, and improvisational stage presence draws the audience in to make them feel like a part of the show. This band is great for male and female fans as Amy's prolific lyrics and witty "girl-power" are sure to please the ladies and the rockin' band supplies a funky, crunchy back beat for the gentlemen to enjoy. Everyone is sure to feel the infectious groove of Amy Hendrickson & the Prime Directive.

Think of a hibachi chef flipping a raw egg high in the air with the spatula. While in the air, he manages to successively chop fresh veggies and slice his meats with precision with plenty of time to turn his spatula up to the air and perfectly catch the egg shell on its edge while the whites and yolk splash perfectly onto the skillet. There a lot of tasks involved within short pockets of time, but each piece fits precisely together into an energetic crowd-pleasing performance. Coordination is everything.

Categorization be damned, the Madison-based five piece, Steez, consisting of Matt Williams (keyboards/synthesizers/accordion), Steve Neary (guitar and vocals), Rob Bessert (drums), Chris Sell (bass), and Andrzej Benkowski (saxophone, oboe, and violin) is -- in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions --  a funk band, a jamband, a fusion band, a disco-fanged multi-beast, and a basket case.

Churning out their self-described Creepfunk, a high energy, danceable variety of funk -- one uniquely laced with electronic and improvisational sensibilities - Steez has garnered a loyal following throughout the Midwest, winning contests to perform at two Summer Camp Festivals, Rothbury, and the 10,000 Lakes Festival as well as performing to capacity crowds at rapidly growing venues . After receiving repeated acclaim for their live performances, which typically include a seamless weaving of thoughtfully composed originals and crowd pleasing covers spanning from Madonna to clever obscurities like Genialistid (Estonia), Steez took Creepfunk into the studio for their first full length LP, Creepfunk Crusade released in August 2009.

Hoping to carve out a niche in the competitive jamband landscape, what really sets Steez apart is the camaraderie and endearing sense of humor. The band's humble beginnings include getting banned for life from a venue after their first ever live performance, maneuvering a moped accident involving a parked car, and cruising the Midwest in the inspired 35 foot band bus, "Big Brown." While it's the original songs and taut musicianship that initially grab both fans' and critics' attention, the band's personality keeps it.

"This group possesses the intuition and communication skills to make the shit work, no doubt about it." - Jambase.com

"Generally speaking, Steez is a band in the sweet spot; that point where they are really clicking with one another and getting a lot better, fast." - Glide Magazine

"Funk behaves as the base vibe from which the band then takes fanciful expeditions towards progressive, electronic, and just plain different sounds. With a strong throughline that remains a highly danceable funk groove, there's an astonishing level of cohesion through some rather adventurous sonic sojourns. When it works, that's Creepfunk." - Jambands.com

The Odd Meters are a unique, instrumental duo whose music blends various genres into compelling modern compositions. Their high-energy performances include styles such as Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Pop, Fusion, Reggae, Indian Classical, and Funk.

The mixture they create takes their audiences of young and old on the same musical journey around the world. The majority of the bands' tunes are original, written by guitarist Jon Morrow and fused with the explosive yet graceful touch of Shane Parreco on drums and percussion. Although the Odd Meters are a duo, they have the sound of a trio thanks to the 8-string guitar (created by Ralph Novak) that Jon plays.

These two characters met in 2003 at Brevard College, where they found each other learning from the same primary teachers: Dr. Laura Franklin (percussion) and Jeff Sipe (drums/rhythm concepts). Both Morrow and Parreco were able to gain a deeper level of understanding music from their studies and quickly became great friends because of their mutual enthusiasm for various styles music. These two unique musicians share a similar musical vocabulary, a desire to always be inspired and challenged, and a passion for making and sharing live music.

Blount Harvey takes the tradition of classic hip-hop and weaves its way into modern day neo-soul with an infused blend of classic R&B, funk and jazz rhythms.

Performing live with up to ten members in range, their unmistakable sound is balanced by taking the old with the new; creating a Philly-style sound with their southern roots, existing somewhere in the space between The Roots and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Ed Condran of The Raleigh News & Observer boldly stated, "It's difficult not to compare Blount Harvey with what is arguably Philadelphia's finest contribution to the music world since the halcyon days of Gamble and Huff."

With a determined DJ-based quartet set out to discover where the vintage flavor of hip-hop had disappeared to amidst mainstream sell-outs, Blount Harvey's mission began in May of 2006. Classic legends such as James Brown, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One and De La Soul are branches of the same roots that the current seven-piece collective seek to reconnect with: influenced by early 90's hip-hop and the jazz and soul music breaks it was based upon, following traditions and bringing positive lyricism expressive of complicated subject matter. In short, Blount Harvey feels like where this era of hip-hop would have gone; maintaining a youthful energy with a mature perspective. Resulting is a sound spanning multiple genres, carving out a unique space and state of mind in which ears, souls and minds prove well served to immerse themselves.

Keyboardist MadShah, dynamo drummer illWill and scratch DJ JohnBeez perform with musicianship at premium; laying the expressive foundation of the soundscape with a texturized background, delivering creative beats, sample-based cuts and deep grooves. Guitarist Nigel Cheeks delivers perfected string solos and radiating riffs, keeping the fresh sound in check. Joining to effortlessly provide the funk is the "hot fiyah" horn section: trumpeter The Professor and saxophonist, The Student. And fronting the band is the hyper-smart, high-energy vocal duo - emcee extraordinaire MC Rudolph Lyrics offering curse-free rhymes to the belting powerhouse TyKee - a certified siren pouring the flavor on thick with passion. Combining the group's wide range of cutting-edge talent allows for the seamless flow from hip-hop to soul to funk, bringing elements of sound into play with an irresistible rhythm.

In December 2007, Blount Harvey released their first album *L!VE* At The Station, mixed and recorded live at the Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. Featuring former vocalist Lady Bri, the all-organic disc oozes with soul - solid proof that the group can cut it live and lay down a true to form groove with eleven original tracks and a captivating cover of Jill Scott's "It's Love." Blount Harvey expects the second to be released this January, exhibiting an even wider range of musical influences and inspirations.

Blount Harvey's incessant grind of 2009 tour dates throughout the Northeast deem highly responsible for their ever-increasing popularity and the powerful army of fans recruiting themselves from every spot on the calendar.  More importantly recognizable, though, is the group's second run of shows beginning this May, continuing on to hit the Southeast. Blount Harvey's musical vision has reached a milestone; marking a dedicated quest merging as reality - most recently into the noteworthy ears of Leeway's Home Grown Music Network. Music-lovers of all genres are encouraged to capture the soundscape for themselves as Blount Harvey brings the 'flow' to a town nearest yours.  For streaming MP3s, photos, videos and all of the group's upcoming tour dates - be sure to check out the group at  http://www.myspace.com/blountharvey, and also by linking onto their Facebook FanPage for exclusive access. A courteous warning to soul-intent listeners, though; Beware: You may have just discovered your new favorite band.

A skilled guitarist with over two decades of experience, Lefty Williams holds songcraft and musicianship at a premium. By emphasizing each equally on his ironically titled sophomore album Snake Oil, he engages and enlightens the listener.

In turn, we fall for Williams' powerful guitar licks and candid songs, often long before the origin of his nickname--he was born without a right hand--is clear. And by then, it's just another dimension to his talent.

"I definitely don't wanna shy away from my arm," says the Atlanta born-and-bred songwriter/musician, who's been playing guitar since age 4. He started out strumming with the end of his "nubb," and fashioned his first prosthetic pick at 6. "I was just using the skin on my arm--the same way a fingerstyle player would use his thumb. Then I wanted to play faster." On his grandfather's hunch, Lefty approached his prosthetician who devised a sock-like leather wrap. "It didn't work at all," he laughs, saying he finally "tore apart my prosthetic arm," using the strap and part of the harness to fashion something that worked.

Henceforth a self-taught musician, Lefty refined his skills by listening. "After my dad taught me basic chords, he showed me how to figure it out on my own. I remember we were listening to the guitar solo part of 'Stairway to Heaven' and my dad pointing out all the guitar parts that were going on in the background and saying, 'That's the kinda stuff you gotta listen for. If you can figure all those out and how to play 'em at the same time, you can make it sound like the record.'"

Soon Lefty was transcribing songs by Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin and Yes before moving on to more difficult material. By 11, he was playing in bands. "Death metal!" he laughs. While playing upright bass in the school orchestra he learned how to read music, and in 1998 he made his way to the Atlanta Institute of Music to hone his guitar skills. There he found that his condition put him on equal--if not higher--footing than his peers and instructors at the Atlanta Institute of Music, who envied his "perfect" picking technique. "A lot of guitar players change between moving their wrists and their elbow and their fingers," he says. "Mine never really changes."

After graduating with honors, Lefty was offered a teaching position at AIM. During that time, he gravitated from metal to grunge bands learning valuable lessons from each. "I can shred if I want to," he says, "but I get really bored with that. The one thing I took from grunge music was not soloing, just taking your time and making your songs as good as you can possibly make them."

This knowledge served him well as he grew into the bluesy, jazzy style he plays today, which nods to Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Miles Davis, Stevie Ray Vaughn and early Led Zeppelin--all artists that understand the importance of a great song. Lefty also heeded their performances, and worked to construct a combustible live show with the Lefty Williams Band, which quickly became a big draw at local and regional clubs like Smith's Olde Bar (Atlanta), Murphy's (Boone, North Carolina) and The Dunedin Brewery (Dunedin, Florida). The LWB has also opened for the likes of Gov't Mule, Tim Reynolds, Little Feat, Jimbo Mathus, Col. Bruce and the Quark Alliance and the Chris Duarte Group.

In 2006, Lefty recorded his debut album, Big Plans, produced by John Keane (REM, Widespread Panic). It brought a dynamic range of music to the table, from high energy like "Shine Begins to Fade" to soulful tracks like "Sunny," in which Lefty's innate sense of groove and melody, coupled with an expressive, visceral guitar sound, coalesce. Big Plans received raves from Relix, Hittin' the Note, and Jambase.com, and Williams toured for 18 months behind it, all the while writing like a fiend. By the end of 2007, he got the itch to return to the studio.

Once again teaming with Keane, who says "Lefty's sound is a compelling combination of honest, heartfelt lyrics and masterful rhythm and blues muscle," Lefty reaches deep into personal experience on Snake Oil. "There's a lot more honesty in these songs," Lefty says. The dirty, groovin' title track refers to two-faced industry types, specifically "a guy who promised me the world and then kinda hosed me." His divorce fuels the funky "Thank You," where he acknowledges the silver lining, and thanks his ex for kicking him out. "We're both better off now." And the sweet, tender "A Little Bit of Faith" (featured on the Relix CD sampler for June 2008) is written for "my current wife. It's just a promise to her that I'm not gonna goof around on her."

Musically, Lefty soars on Snake Oil, ratcheting up the earthy yet sophisticated sound of Big Plans. He achieves a coolly smoldering burn--merging King's world with Davis's--with "On the Prowl;" suffers through his slide guitar on the gospel-tinged "In the Valley;" channels playful lust on the jumpin' "Hey Mama;" and creates a taut, stinging three-minute guitar feast with "Salt Stained Moment." The LWB's taut grooves are augmented by two guests: Todd Smallie (The Derek Trucks Band) plays bass on "Why Didn't You Call," and "On the Prowl" and "Hey Mama" feature blues luminary and fellow Atlanta resident Tinsley Ellis.

Says Ellis, "I was knocked out by Lefty the first time I heard his music on MySpace. I just knew that I had to seek him out and hear more of his stuff. He is a veritable triple threat on certainly guitar but also as a soulful vocalist and clever songwriter. The fact that he is out there winning over fans one at a time with his nonstop touring schedule is definitely something that I can relate to. I was thrilled when he asked me to guest on his new album."

Having already given many of the songs on Snake Oil a live test drive, Lefty looks forward to presenting them fully realized on another lengthy tour in 2008. Mostly, though, he's chomping at the bit to play live, electrifying audiences with his musical virtuosity and heartworn songs. "Let's just make some cool music," he says. "That's all I've ever really cared about."
