UV Hippo all day long.... I love the choices, and have heard about half, but Square pegs round holes is the first album from a local band in a while that i listen to over and over. Strange arrangement's Polygraph is also a great CD worthy of an honorable mention, but still UV Hippo's Square Pegs Round Holes is the best of 2011.
I love NMS, Big Daddy, Lotus, Lizzy ross aint bad. Moksha, pets, zach.

SOOOOOO addicted to the Lizzy Ross Band CD. Incredible arrangements, with unbelievable variety. Is there anything that girl can't sing?

Ultraviolet Hippopotamus!!!! Square Pegs Round Holes has not left my car CD changer since I purchased the album back in April. After listening front to back probably 100 times it still sounds just as good and fresh as the time before. These guys truly deserve this, they have been working their booty-shakin butts off for years, GO HIPPO!!!!

I am a big fan of UV Hippo. They came to MPLS MN a few months ago. What a treat to hear them live. The entire band shows great talant and a solid future. Kudo's to the drummer.

That's strange. The last reported results from 12/23 had the Former Champions in 5th place. They were still in the top 5 as of 12/25 too, two days after the close of the poll. What happened?
voting had stopped at midnight 12/23 and for some reason I couldn't get into the edit page from my phone over the weekend. If you didn't notice, on the 25th it still listed it as being last updated on the 23rd. I couldn't update it until Monday from the office. That 5th spot was very close for about 2 weeks. It could have easily gone for Former Champions or Big Daddy Love.
